Tolstoy’s novella Family Happiness is brought to life in a visual and kinetic adaptation. Young Masha yearns for a much older Sergey. When he falls for her, they begin a touching, sometimes tormented, journey toward a shared future. An ensemble cast and physical direction embodies this intimate and masterful tale describing the first great cycle of mature love. Family Happiness received a staged-reading production at The Piven Theater in Evanston, IL as part of their Lab @ Piven Series in November 2016.
