The Portrait of a Lady, adapted from the novel by Henry James, was developed with the company of actors and designers, and began as an exploration of process over product and a rigorous investigation of character and theatrical format. We presented two company-developed "salons" at the start of our rehearsal process which used our space and our source material in completely different ways, before mounting a run of the full script.
